Week 6 (2/5-2/11)
Sunday: I had 8 on the books and a friend had 5. I told her I would meet her after running 3 and we could do the last 5 together. It was beautiful out, well it was sunny…but cold. We did a 2.5 mile out and back and the last half was straight into a headwind. Which made us even colder. We had quite a few hills so it really made the run!! 🙂
Monday: It was gorgeous and 50 so I was ready for a nice shorts run. Then KK put her running stuff on and wanted to go with us. So Dare, KK and I headed out. We ended up doing a nice family walk/run and it was perfect. Afterwards, she even lifted weights (kind of) with me! Tuesday: Cross Training!!!! Got in a great cross fit style workout! 3 rounds of: 10 push-ups, 20 step ups, 30 squats, 40 sit-ups, 50 jump rope…time 12:20. We worked hard but had some left so we headed out the door for a quick run. Ran a total of 1.5 miles. At about a quarter mile in it started pouring rain and we got to have a nice soaking wet run! 🙂Wednesday: Started not feeling the best as everyone here was sick last week. So I took and unplanned for rest day!
Thursday: Dare and I headed out for a nice 6 miles. He is amazing. My head was stuffed up but I didn’t feel bad. We ran 30 seconds hard at the end of each mile and also progressed each mile as well. First mile, 9:36 and last was 8:40. Not too bad for trying to get my running back together. 🙂
Friday: This is the day my body said NOPE. I was sick. I haven’t been sick in years but running wasn’t going to happen.
Saturday: Sick again. Sometimes we just need the rest! 🙂
17.32 Miles total for the week. Not where I wanted to be but closer to where I am heading. I am hoping my body continues to play nice and be able to run pain free. I have had a few pains here and there but nothing major!!! 🙂
